I loved that the team got to stay together even though they moved departments. My opinion of Sir Julian definitely shifted during this book I felt like I saw a much softer side to him. It was lovely to see them working together and the pride he had for both of his kids even though he didn’t initially approve of William’s career choice. I enjoyed learning more about Grace and her relationship with her father. I mentioned in my review of Nothing Ventured that I wanted to know more about some of the characters and Hidden in Plain Sight delivered. It worked particularly well in this book and made me feel a closer connection to the story and the characters.

I really liked the way that Jeffrey Archer mixed the personal struggles with the professional ones. We are still treated to updates on William’s personal life and it was lovely to see his relationship with Beth grow and to follow them on the next steps in their lives. I felt like I had as much riding on the arrest of Rashidi as the detectives did. The book is still about William’s career but I thought that there was a little more focus on the investigation in this one and I really got hooked into the case. Will William and the team come out successful?Īnother adventure with William Warwick and I enjoyed Hidden in Plain Sight even more than the first book in the series. It’s a risky plan as it truly involves being hidden in plain sight. Whilst investigating the case, William is faced with enemies both old and new and the stakes are even higher than before.Īs the team start to close in on the huge drug operation that is run by Ahmed Rashidi, they only have one option for how they can secure his arrest. William and the rest of the team are moved into the drugs squad and assigned a case to try and capture one of London’s biggest drug dealers.
